🐂 Bmw Heated Steering Wheel Not Working
Heated steering wheel issue - not workin Hello, I was wondering if you guys could could give me some insight/help on what might be wrong with my f30 335 heated steering. Quick backstory it was working perfectly fine, then one day my valvetronic servomotor went out, car was acting strange, then I noticed heated steering went out.
It has been below normal temps past couple weeks. She also has the option for heated seats and steering wheel to automatically come on with either remote start or regular start. Heated Steering wheel not working. Hey guys, now that the weather is getting cold I noticed that my heated steering wheel is not working. I used it last winter with no issue. The icon lights up in the Sync window but the wheel never warms up. I checked and replaced fuse # 37. The old fuse looked fine but I replaced it with a new 20a fuse anyway.
There have been some reports of this in the past. The no-cost solution that seems to work most often is to wait for 10 - 20 seconds after starting the car before activating the heated steering wheel or the heated seats. That power and ground goes into the heated steering wheel module. Out of that module is a 4 pin connector that goes to the steering wheel. With the ignition on and a ground on the brake pedal, that wire has 0.5v. When I press the heated wheel button I get a split second where it goes up to 1-2volts, then back down to 0.5. Not sure if thats normal.

I have heard from a Mechanic that the SZL is what controls everything around the steering wheel, even the cruise control. it could just mess up one thing, or all..and he said sometimes functions will start working again after a while..its a faulty module sometimes

#1 · Jan 24, 2021 Before I changed the battery the heated steering wheel was working fine. Now that it's 22* it's not working. The light turns on then goes off after 20 seconds.
